Graphic Packaging shone at the recent ProCarton European Carton Excellence Awards, taking home a trio of award wins. 

The awards celebrate the innovation and success of carton packaging designs across the European market, as well as the importance of collaboration. 

Graphic Packaging took home two top honors for its Boardio™ pack created for Perfetti Van Melle, winning the Sustainability Award and Public Award. They also won a Platinum Award for their multipack solution for the beverage brand Mannenliefde, from Dutch brewer Oedipus.  

The Boardio award wins showcase a successful collaboration with confectionery giant Perfetti Van Melle on its Mentos brand, the first product in the gum category from a major global confectioner to be delivered to market in a paper bottle pack.  

The recognition at the ECEA is the latest in a string of plaudits won by the Boardio pack for Perfetti Van Melle, including an Ameristar Award, WorldStar Award, Paperboard Packaging Competition Award (PPC), PAC Global Award, Dieline Award, and an Environmental Packaging Award. 

Also recognized at the awards was the distinctive beer multipack designed in collaboration with Oedipus for its popular Mannenliefde brand. The visually impactful design combines an artistic statement with great consumer convenience. 

The clip-style solution eliminates the need for plastic rings and shrink wrap, and creates a unique and eye-catching design that puts collaborative engineering in the spotlight.
